- Cost. 301 stainless steel has lesser content of nickel and chromium than grade 304. The lesser its content defines how cheaper it is.
- Tensile Strength. The carbon content of 301 stainless steel is 0.15% more than that of 304 SS (mass). A high percentage of resistance to mechanical force.
- Corrosion Resistance. Grade 304 SS is more resistant to corrosion than 301. Its alloy has a lower carbon level and higher chromium content.
