Alloy C276 | N10276
Alloy C-276 is also known with its equivalent grade UNS N10276. It is a high-performance alloy that primarily composed three different elements. It includes nickel, molybdenum, and chromium. However, it is also added with a small tungsten element amount.
It is characterized with superior corrosion resistance due to these combined elements. Thus, allowing it to become the most versatile and reliable materials available for use in demanding applications.
Therefore, it can withstand exposure to a wide range of chemicals, acids, and gases, including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and chlorine gas.
Professional Alloy C276 Manufacturer in China – Tuolian
We supply UNS N10276 that can be used for applications with temperature ranging up to 1038⁰C. Common examples of its applications are stack liners, heat exchangers, tanks, pressure vessels, piping, flanges, digestors, ducts, absorbers, valves, fittings, and more.
However, due to its relatively low chromium content, it may not be suitable for use in highly oxidizing environments. It includes applications where concentrated and hot nitric acids are present.
One of the benefits of Alloy C-276 is its low carbon content, which enables it to be used in as-welded condition. This means that it can be welded without requiring additional heat treatment. Allowing you to save time from a very time-consuming and costly process.
At Tuolian, we offer alloy C276 with good fabrication and formability. It can be easily fabricated into a variety of shapes and forms, including piping, tubing, fittings, and plates.
Alloy C276 can be fabricated using various methods. It includes hot and cold working, machining, and welding. Welding of Alloy C276 can be performed using various techniques, including GTAW. GMAW, and SMAW.
UNS N10726 cannot be hardened by using heat treatment process. Instead, it can be hardened through cold-working process. However, excessive cold working can cause the material to become brittle, so it’s important to perform cold working within the recommended limits.
The recommended annealing temperature for Alloy C276 is between 2050°F to 2150°F (1121°C to 1177°C), followed by a rapid quench in water or air.
