ERW Stainless Steel Pipe Manufacturer in China
The ERW stands for an Electric Resistance Welded stainless steel pipe, available in a comprehensive range of wall thicknesses, qualities, and diameters. These pipes are typically stainless steel strips designed by welding their two ends. They are known for their corrosion-resistant strength, making them suitable for multiple utilization. The ERW SS pipes are also formed with high or low-frequency resistance.
TuoLian is a trusted ERW SS pipe manufacturer, providing customers with requested sizes and shapes. We have an immense ERW pipe production capacity in China. Our offered pipes and tubes have lengths ranging from custom single to 120 feet according to the mill’s capability.

Common ERW SS Pipe Standards
With the Electric Resistance Welding process, various SS pipes are manufactured. The following are the most common pipeline standards.
- ASTM A269 SS pipe
- ASTM A312 SS pipe
- ASTM A270 sanitary tubing
- ASTM A790 duplex stainless pipe

- and more
ERW and Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe Differences
Raw material
- The pipe features entirely depend on the quality control of the manufacturing process, initial condition, and raw material quality. Hot-rolled coils materials for SS ERW pipes and round steel billets for the SS Seamless pipes.
Production Process
- In manufacturing the SS Seamless pipes; the round steel billets are heated, pushed over, and pierced with a rod till they form a hollow. It is entirely different from the production process of the SS ERW pipes in which the material is bent axially and welded to their converging edges using electric resistance welding spanning the whole length.
Welding
- ERW pipes are gone in turning coils that welded their central axis and length. However, seamless pipes have no axial joints.
Sizes
- SS Seamless pipes outside diameter are only 26 inches. On the other hand, SS ERW pipes have only 24 inches in outer diameter.
Finish
- SS ERW pipes’ internal finishes have reasonable control over quality techniques, making them preferable to seamless pipes.
Utilization
- SS seamless pipes are the high demand applications like high pressure. They are suitable for maintaining the safety of the plant and its employees due to their zero leakage feature.
- SS ERW pipes are ideal for low and medium-pressure areas. They have stringent quality control suited for services applicable in ordinary usage.
